The next generation of space age user interfaces might be a little closer to home than we’d think – researchers are currently working on UIs designed to be implanted under the skin which will be responsive to touch and sensory inputs as well as Bluetooth and Wireless interaction. The research is being carried out by Autodesk Research and is initially at present geared towards heath and medical applications.
