Project Manager

We are looking for a Project Manager, with a passion for successfully delivering projects and establishing the dynamics that a team needs to succeed. Experience in a Project Management role in a service or experience design agency environment is preferred.

Collaboration and teamwork are key in this role. We’ll want you to have great soft skills, the ability to communicate effectively both within Spotless and externally, and the skills to develop relationships in a confident and friendly manner.

As a Project Manager you will be responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end client projects with support from the delivery team and reporting into the Director. You will work closely with the Senior Project Manager, People Manager, Client Services Directors and Finance Manager. 

Primary responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall management of projects from initial enquiry, scoping and planning projects, through to project closure
  • You will create Statements of Work and project plans and be accountable for iteration planning, adding/tracking plans in 10,000ft, reporting, prioritisation, estimates, risks, and financials for the client engagement
  • Run weekly timesheet reports to monitor actual and forecast project costs to the end of the project
  • Ensure the team are regularly completing timesheets and chase up missing time
  • Provide weekly status updates to the client
  • Running project status meetings, kick-offs, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • You will manage the client directly, building relationships and driving the project from inception and requirements definition through to delivery
  • You will support and inspire incredibly talented delivery teams while discussing problems, risks, results and progress of the project
  • Supporting the team in their goal to deliver truly insightful and differentiating Service Design that is a delight to use
  • Use your knowledge to put the right people on the right jobs according to their/abilities and ensure consistency of resource
  • Ensuring the team’s personal objectives are represented in project planning activities alongside our business objectives and your view of the design output and identity of Spotless
  • Maintaining the current trajectory by moving us towards a recognised and admired service design consultancy

Your skills include:

  • Extensive experience on managing projects that include design research and designing services (an emphasis on digital is useful) and applying strategic thinking to the process
  • Detailed knowledge and practical experience of project management methodology and practices
  • An understanding of various software development approaches (traditional, agile and etc) and have the ability to consult clients on the best approaches applicable to their scenarios
  • An understanding/experience of a broad mix of research and design methodologies for inspiration and validation, including with end-users, stakeholders
  • Cultivating strong partnerships comes naturally to you: you understand the importance of relationship building and how it can bring new opportunities to our business
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Good time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Highly motivated and self-managing
  • Experience working within a studio / agency creative environment
  • Google Enterprise Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides etc.) 
  • Miro and use of Kanban boards
  • Experience working in Service Design/UX environments

Spotless is a hybrid work environment, meaning we allow individuals to work both in-office and at home depending on what suits them and the nature of the project. This work might require some in office collaboration but we are also open to 100% remote. This role will be considered at either 4 or 5 days per week.
