Account Director

Leading Service Design and UX Agency are currently on the hunt for an Account Director to join the Client Services team in London. Good knowledge and understanding of UX principles will impress! The successful candidate will report to the Director, Ben Logan, but will also work very closely with the Head of Client Services.

This is an important role working with some really exciting clients across a wide range of sectors from gaming to finance, supporting the sales activities for Spotless at their brand new office and research labs in East London.

 

Specification:

The successful candidate will be an outgoing dynamic individual with 6 Years’ experience in an Account Management / Business Development role within an agency environment.

The purpose of the role is to develop client relationships across an exciting portfolio of UK and global brands to enable us to hit our annual sales targets. You will manage key accounts and help generate new income through strategic prospecting for direct client opportunities within Service Design and Experience Design.

You will understand the whole UX and user-centred design process; from the initial research and testing to creating the wireframes and workflows, and be able to question briefs and suggest innovative methodologies and listen to and work with prospects to bring in genuine pre-qualified leads. You will work as part of a small team and a can do attitude is a must. You must be willing to upskill in Service Design and understand the appropriate language and methodologies to sell in effective programmes of work to C-level executives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing strong client relationships to ensure the team meets account sales targets
  • Managing growth strategy across your portfolio of accounts
  • Contributing to monthly sales targets and developing an account pipeline
  • Having a full understanding of the clients’ brand, business, customers and market
  • Ensure project teams are fully briefed on clients business, objectives and deliverables
  • Taking briefs, writing proposals and pitching to C-level executives
  • Developing trust and respect both internally with colleagues and externally
  • Suggesting new ways of differentiating Spotless from its competitors and pioneering new methods within your portfolio of clients.
  • Confident and persuasive with excellent communication skills: someone who can build trust and forge strong working relationships with C-level stakeholders within global brands
  • Improving internal processes to manage risk and improve project delivery
  • Recruitment and line management of an Account Manager

 

Your skills and experience:

  • Minimum 6 years in an Account Management/Account Director role with client ownership
  • Sales and marketing, HCI, Psychology or Business background
  • Proven track record in winning and delivering high value work for major brands in the UK & Internationally
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Delivered on annual sales targets of £700k+
  • Must have digital UX/Service Design agency experience
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management at all levels
  • Contract negotiation, budget management and financial reporting
  • Passionate about user and customer experience
  • International travel required on some projects
  • Highly skilled at listening to clients’ needs and producing solutions to fit
  • You must have the legal right to live and work in the United Kingdom
