After an incredibly busy, interesting and exciting year, we were all looking forward to what our 2014 Christmas party would have in store for us. Instead of heading further afield as we did in 2013, we chose to stay closer to home this year, incorporating two of our most favourite things: cocktails and food!
We started the evening off with a quick tipple over at The Crown & Shuttle where we did our best at showing off our Christmas jumpers (how original, right?)
After we became adequately ‘festive’, we headed on to a cocktail masterclass at the new London Cocktail Club in Shoreditch. After sampling Bellinis, Martini vermouth shots, Mojitos, Spitfires, Negronis, Butter beers and Aviations (to name just a few) we settled on the winning cocktail: Death by Chocolate. Made especially for Ben due to his love of egg based cocktails, needless to say, we now have one of our new favourite cocktail destinations.
“I turned up late and it was like wandering into a madhouse.” – Oliver
Next we travelled over to West London for our dinner at the Tiroler Hut, an Austrian themed restaurant serving plenty of Bavarian treats like Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Fondue! By this point we were in need of some food, and the Tiroler Hut did not disappoint. Not only was the Bavarian fare fantastic, but we were lucky enough to be serenaded with Christmas songs and cow bells. A brilliant and slightly odd round off to the night. What a fantastic way to end our 2014!
Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!
